Across America there’s a lot of concern for the state of public education. Dumbing down, unequal funding, increased student depression and anxiety, teaching for tests. Something has got to change. Dr Peter Grey, research professor of psychology at Boston College is author of the provacative new book Free To Learn. He points out that kids are born learners, it’s natural, but schools often kill the desire. He calls for more trust in our kids, more freedom and less schooling. It is a very different approach.
