Since so many public schools forbid the teaching of “divisive concepts,” social studies teachers are cut off; they can’t do their jobs. The far right is afraid of education, and teachers are seen as dangerous. But a conference was recently held looking into this problem by teachers and scholars, moderated by our guest Professor Sebastiaan Faber, who is on the board of the group keeping the anti-fascist work of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade alive and active. On this show we look into this new repressive “patriotic education.”
