Is there a worse crime than child abuse? Is the complicity by knowing adults just as bad? Is there something about the very nature of authoritarianism in schools? Guest on this show is  Amos Kamil, author of Great is the Truth, which was the motto of the Horace Mann School, which saw abuses and cover ups. Kamil lived through an atmosphere of abuse in the prestigious private school and blew the whistle on it in a NYTimes Magazine cover story in 2012. The harm to the victims lasts a lifetime. What can we do to  banish abuse by superior powers and instead foster self-reliant citizens in a democracy?
