It was a disastrous day for Democrats. Senior strategist and media advisor to the Bernie Sanders Campaign Mark Longabaugh (remember that great “America” ad?)talks about opportunities ahead for traditional liberal Democrats. He argues Trump’s victory was less about hate and bigotry than working people’s legitimate anger at being left out, and the institutional Democratic National Committee’s thumb on the scale for a weak candidate. Being not-Trump was not good enough. Longabaugh says we could have won places like Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan. With a better message and messenger.
