Generally American cites are dumped on: Budgets cut, services eliminated, schools ignored. But 80% of us live in cities and despite the pressure from uncaring financial interests and their politicians, we are close to a tipping point where an urban voting bloc may outweigh the short sighted callousness of austerity. So says William W. Goldsmith, professor emeritus of city and regional planning at Cornell University and author of the new book Saving Our Cities: A Progressive Plan to Transform Urban America. At least Trump is from a city!
