In phase one of French elections, the far right of Marine LePen did very well, winning about a third of the total. The next and crucial vote is July 7. According to on-the-ground reporter, Oliver Haynes, President Macron is likely to lose his snap election gamble. History shows the left is usually divided, but in fear of a far right, racist, police state, there is a united New Popular Front. A lot of the divisions in France sound like the same divisions as exist in America in 2024. As Haynes explains, people are angry and that does motivate voters. So what will Macron’s center do?
