They make billions despite their actual performance. While their workers are forced to live on subsistence wages, if that, taxpayers are also subsidizing the outrageous CEO pay as they subsidize workers who are forced to go on public relief. On this show, Institute for  Policy Studies Sarah Anderson points out that prices are not the only problem in today’s affordability crisis, wages are too low as well. States and municipalities are successfully taking on this problem and opportunity. And besides, boosting worker morale is good for business.
